Region 8 Conference Call for Proposals OPEN IN 1 WEEK

The Region 8 2016 Conference Call for Proposals will open July 1st!  We will be accepting proposals until September 8, 2015!   Click here to submit your proposal.

So…what’s the theme?  This year, we are mixing things up (in the spirit of the innovation of Seattle!) and asking presenters to structure their sessions around one (or more) of the four focus areas for the 2016 NACADA Region 8 conference:

  • Sustainability: ability to be sustained, supported, upheld, or confirmed – including our work with students, our advisor training, and our campus policies and regulations
  • Innovation: the introduction of something new and different, utilizing new methods in our work with students and advisor development
  • Inclusivity: how are you including all the stakeholders within your campus community? What programs or initiatives support inclusion and retention of under-represented populations
  • Two-year colleges: initiatives and programs that support advisors and students at our two year college partners

The four focus areas align with our regional NACADA goals (both in terms of NACADA membership/involvement and student populations). Additionally, Region 8 is known for being progressive and we’re excited to try something new. We look forward to receiving your ground-breaking proposals!

The conference will be held at the Motif Hotel in Seattle, Washington January 20-22, 2016. Check back for more information about hotel reservations and transportation options. We hope to see you all there!
