Hello Region 8! First, let’s start with some business…The Region 8 Conference Schedule is now LIVE! The full schedule can be found on the Region 8 NACADA page, or can be accessed via our conference blog page here! More schedule information will be coming soon, including presenter names, presentation abstracts, and PDF links to many of the presentations. So check back often! Remember, the Region 8 Conference is in Coeur D’Alene, ID (as if you didn’t know!) from March 11th-13th, 2015! Register now, as the early registration deadline is less than 1 month away! Also, remember to book your room ASAP as the room block is quickly filling up!

Each year, Region 8 kicks off our conference with an opening reception. The reception this year will be Wednesday night, March 11th at 6PM. Many of you are now questioning how this is a surprise…well, your patience needs work! This year thanks to the generosity of our host, the Coeur D’Alene Resort, and the Hagadone corporation (owners of the resort), our opening reception will be held ON LAKE COEUR D’ALENE! That’s right, grab your flip flops and towels (don’t really because it will be cold and kinda awkward if you show up in flip flops) because we are gonna be ON A BOAT! The current plan is to cruise the boats across the lake to the golf course reception area (watching the sunset on the way), enjoy some entertainment, enjoy some desserts and beverages (cash bars available on the boats and at the reception area), then cruise around the lake on our way back to the resort.  It should be an amazing way to start this conference and your conference planning committee is super excited that we get this opportunity! BOOK YOUR CONFERENCE REGISTRATION NOW! This will be an amazing boat cruise for all participants AT NO ADDITIONAL COST! Unfortunately, only conference participants will be allowed on the boat, your conference name-tag will be your ticket onto the boat!

See everyone in Coeur D’Alene!
